IT could be the beginning of a bad joke – a pianist and a man with one leg cycle hundreds of miles to raise money for charity.

But entertainer Matt Black and his manager Jon Cox aren’t messing around (much).

No, they’ve really decided to tackle one of the toughest challenges going – a month-long cycle from John o’Groats to Land’s End.

Despite the hardships ahead of them, the pair, who will raise funds for charity Wings for Warriors, say they are cautiously optimistic about the challenge. They will spend the winter training before taking on the epic journey in May next year.

However, first they need to raise £5,000 just to get to the starting line.

Matt, of Ferndown, said: “We have a fairly accurate idea of what it’s going to cost us to complete this challenge in May, and we expressly thank everybody who’s hinted already that they may be able to help us in any way.”
