CHILDREN, families and shoppers turned out to see Santa's special arrival at Stewarts Garden Centre in Christchurch on Saturday.
Scores of people turned out in the murky weather to catch a glimpse of Father Christmas at the garden centre.
He arrived via a vintage bus adorned in tinsel, accompanied by music from the Dorset Youth Marching Band.
Cheers from youngsters keen to pass on their Christmas wishes to Santa were also heard.
Reindeer Snowy and Buttons were also spied enjoying their new festive home.
In the afternoon Father Christmas made the trip from Christchurch to the Stewarts centre at Broomhill near Wimborne.
The reindeer will be available to see at both garden centres until December 24.
Susie Stewart, co-owner of Stewarts said the event had been a tremendous success.
“It was very popular - there must have been around 200 people out despite the rain.
“We've had this event running for years and it's always been so popular. It must be about 25 years now”, she said.
“This year at Christchurch, the Santa grotto is bigger and better than ever before.
“Both centres have got animated bands as well. It's so festive.
“Everyone has really got into the spirit of things.”
