THIS house of horrors is sure to send shivers down a few spines on Halloween night.
Not content with simply donning a spooky mask, Poole resident Katie Allett has opted for the full haunted house makeover.
Katie and her six-year-old son, Theoden, have completely transformed their Canford Heath semi into a scary spectacle.
Katie, who works part-time at Broadstone’s Links care home, explained: “We’ve basically decorated the whole of the bottom floor of the house – we are taking small donations for The Alzheimer’s Society, but this is not compulsory.
“Children can come in, eat some candy floss, play a few games and trick or treat.
“We’re hoping everyone will have a great time.”
But it is not only the house that’s been transformed, Katie will be dressed as a vampire, with son Theoden wearing a zombie costume, throughout the evening.
“I do this sort of thing every year,” said Katie.
“But as we are doing it for charity this time we decided to go a little over the top.”
Visitors are met by a large ‘weird looking’ inflatable cat by the front door, while the hallway features a number of ghosts.
“We’ve turned the living room into a vampire/witch’s coven type thing,” explained Katie. “There is even a little tunnel leading to the dining room which is the dungeon, which we’ve decorated with dungeon wallpaper, skeletons and a candy floss machine.”
The kitchen has been decked out with strobe lights, and a number of creepy crawlies, while the back garden has been turned into a spooky graveyard.
