OLYMPIC hero Sir Chris Hoy is calling for residents across Dorset to submit their nominations for the nation’s most inspirational parent.
The cycling star has teamed up with the water brand Highland Spring for the Parentspiration campaign, which aims to recognise parents and guardians who have gone above and beyond to help their children achieve dreams or overcome challenges.
Members of the public can nominate their own parent or guardian or someone else’s who they believe deserves the title of the nation’s most inspirational parent.
The shortlisted entries will be announced on November 10 and a public vote will decide the ultimate winner of the Parentspiration award.
Sir Chris said: “There are parents all over Britain doing amazing things for their children every day, very often quietly behind the scenes.
“We are launching the Highland Spring Parentspiration campaign to celebrate these unsung heroes and recognise the fact that behind every great sporting star, business person and success story, there’s a great parent.”
