FUNDRAISERS are being urged to get into the festive spirit and take part in a fun Jingle Jog in aid of Dorset’s disability charity, Diverse Abilities Plus.

Participants can walk, jog, hop or skip their way around the 2.3k, 8k or 10k course at Moors Valley County Park and spread some extra Christmas cheer on Sunday, December 7.

Starting at 10.30am, the event is aimed at all the family as children, mums, dads and grandparents can take part, and all those joining in will receive a special T-shirt and head boppers with bells on, to ensure they jingle while they jog around the course.

Funds raised from the event will help the charity’s vital services continue to support adults and children with disabilities over the festive period.

Events fundraiser Sharon Wells said: “We want to provide the people we support a Christmas to remember and all funds raised will provide a huge amount of care for the people that use our services.

“It is great that those participating will have a great time as well as raising money for a cause that is vital in Dorset.”

To take part, the entry fee for adults is £10 per person, with a minimum sponsorship of £30, and children (up to 17 years old) can enter for £5, and minimum sponsorship is £15. Children under five years can enter for free and can run the 2.3k route, when accompanied by a parent or guardian participant.

To enter, contact Sharon Wells at sharon.wells@diverseabilitiesplus.org.uk or call 01202 718266.
