A BOURNEMOUTH bodybuilder who has only been competing for two years has won the chance to compete with the industry’s best in Miami.

Cleo Woodall, 31, hopes to travel to Miami in November to take part in the Drug Free Athletes Coalition World Finals.

She earned the prestigious invitation after coming second at the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation Finals, which were held in Liverpool last month.

Cleo, a personal trainer at the West Hants club in Talbot Woods, started bodybuilding just four years ago.

“I got into bodybuilding shortly after I started working at the West Hants club through my manager Mark Daley,” she said.

“His passion and dedication to the sport of bodybuilding was a true inspiration to me.”

She said the British Finals in Liverpool were “a rollercoaster of emotions” and she was amazed when she realised her second place was enough to get a place at the Miami contest.

Here she will have the opportunity to attain a pro card and turn professional.

“I am so overwhelmed by this journey which I wouldn’t have been able to do without the incredible support of my friends, family and clients,” she said. “I am currently in the process of training and dieting to achieve my dream of stepping on to the world stage in Miami.”

First though, she has the challenge of raising the funds to travel to America and compete.
