BOURNEMOUTH singer and X Factor hopeful Ebony Day has spoken of her heartache after she crashed out of the competition at bootcamp.

In her latest YouTube blogpost, the 21-year-old said she had “never felt further from her dreams” after she failed to win over the judges to make it through to the next round of the national talent search.

In her ten minute video called My X Factor Story, Ebony, who did not feature on the TV shows despite making it past the room audtions and the Wembley auditions to the first round of bootcamp, said the judges loved her first audition when she sang an acoustic version of the theme tune for the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

The former Brangsore and Highcliffe School pupil said: “It was honestly one of the happiest moments of my entire life. They were so nice to meet and it just made the whole day perfect.”

But the youngster said after making it through the arena audition stage she “messed up” at bootcamp.

In the video, which has already clocked up more than 17, 000 views, she said: “I just messed up. I really messed it up and it’s annoying.”

The starlet said she went to Australia for six weeks because she didn’t want to be around when the shows aired before flying over to America to work on her music.

Despite not making it further in the show, she said she is more determined now than even before.

She said: “I had the best time on the X Factor and I don’t want to seem ungrateful or come across that I didn’t have a nice time.

Speaking of her time after her X Factor journey came to an end, she added: “I have never felt motivated in my entire life than to just work hard.

“I may have taken 100 steps back but I feel like I have taken 200 forward in just two weeks.”
