AROUND 644 residents in Canford Heath have had their gas supplies affected after a gas main pipe was flooded.
Homes and businesses are still without gas today and Southern Gas Networks have set up a information centre at St Paul's Church and have been handing out hotplates and heaters to residents.
Homes in the Culliford Crescent area have been affected and Southern Gas engineers are on site investigating the cause.
They are establishing the extent of the damage and aim to remove the water and restore supplies as quickly as possible.
Roads where supplies have been disrupted include Culliford Crescent, Rowbarrow Close, Marshwood Avenue, Hawkchurch Gardens, Pilsdon Drive and Pimpern Close.
A customer information centre is being opened in the area and the company will have portable electric appliances available for cooking and heating for those who need them. Call the 24-hour customer service team on 0800 912 1717 if you need help.
