A LITTLE girl from Bournemouth has had her luscious long locks shorn off to help young cancer patients.

Seven-year-old Brooke Travis-Punter was inspired after reading about the work of the Little Princess Trust and how they provide wigs for cancer sufferers who have lost their hair. Proud mum Clare said Brooke knows someone who had cancer and was keen to help in any way she could.

“It was her idea and as soon as she heard about the Little Princess Trust she asked us if she could give her hair,” she added.

“I think if it had been any other reason she would have been really upset to lose so much hair.”

Brooke went to Room 104 hairdressers on Charminster Avenue for the cut on Thursday and immediately packaged up the hair to be sent off to the charity for new wigs to be made.
