A 25-YEAR-OLD man arrested in connection with two violent assaults in New Milton has been released on police bail.
At 1.30am on Saturday, September 13, a man was struck with a glass bottle and his girlfriend was punched in the head on Barton Court Road as they made their way home from the Rydal Arms.
Around two hours later a second couple were attacked on Ashley Common Road at the junction to Poplar Road. Police say the male victim sustained minor head injuries.
A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said a man who was arrested in connection with the assaults has been released on police bail until November 10.
Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to either incident to come forward by calling Hampshire police on 101.
