DETECTIVES are hunting a group of four men of 'Asian appearance' who sexually assaulted a teenager in Springbourne.

During the incident, which took place between 11pm and 11.30pm on Thursday, September 11 at the junction of Stanley Road and Windham Road, a 19-year-old Bournemouth woman was stopped by the group, who tried to speak to her.

When she ignored them and continued walking they tried to remove items of her clothing.

She managed to break free and ran away.

Three of the men are described as aged between 35 and 40 years old and approximately five feet nine inches tall.

One of them is of very muscular build – like a body builder.

He has a skinny face with prominent cheek bones, dark brown skin and thick black hair – about two inches long and spiked up.

He also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck that may be of a dragon or a snake.

At the time of the offence this man was wearing a plain black V-neck T-shirt, a large dark coloured waist length ski type jacket, dark loose fitting jeans and dark boots with laces.

Two of the other offenders were described as of skinny build with black hair.

They were wearing dark clothing.

The fourth man is aged between 40 and 45 years of age, about five feet and seven inches tall and of a very chubby build.

He has a chubby face and was wearing a dark jacket, dark T-shirt, dark jeans and dark boots.

Detective Constable Steph Ashworth, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This assault left the victim very upset.

“I believe the men had been loitering in the area of Windham Road, close to the junction with Holdenhurst Road, prior to the offence taking place. “
