DETECTIVES hunting a hit-and-run driver who left two victims with serious injuries have renewed their appeal for information.

There have still been no arrests despite three weeks passing since the terrifying incident on Bournemouth’s Poole Hill.

A £3,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of Bournemouth man Dean Cambage, believed to have been driving the offending vehicle.

Members of the public have been warned not to approach Cambage, who was also the subject of an appeal last year when he absconded from a Buckinghamshire prison.

A grey BMW 318 estate was abandoned on the East Overcliff after it repeatedly struck pedestrians on the pavement in the latest incident.

General Manager of The Winchester entertainment venue, Mark Berry was one of the victims and needed 30 stitches to his face. He also suffered a fractured wrist and injuries to his chin.

Jordan March, 22, was also hurt and told how people were screaming and trying to run away as the driver repeatedly rammed into them.

Police have made several appeals for information following the incident, which took place at 4.30am on Sunday August 24, during the last Bank Holiday weekend.

Detective Sergeant Andy Bell, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who knows the whereabouts of Dean Cambage to come forward – all calls will be treated with the strictest confidence.

“In the interests of personal safety, I urge members of the public who see anyone they believe to be the person pictured to call police and not to approach him.”

In order to qualify for the reward, anyone with information should call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111. Mobile phone tariffs may apply.
