THERE will be a chance for flying fans to see the world’s only two airworthy WW2 Lancaster bombers in Bournemouth after all this weekend.
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Lancaster and the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Lancaster, which is touring with the BBMF this summer, are set to arrive at Bournemouth Airport at 11.50am tomorrow, according to the BBMF’s timetable.
The pair are then due to depart Bournemouth at 11.15am on Saturday to do a flypast at Goodwood. They are due to return at 11.50am.
On Sunday, the pair will depart Bournemouth at 1.30pm.
It will be a chance for fans to see the two planes after the Canadian example broke down shortly before they were due to display at the Bournemouth Air Festival last month.
The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, which operates the aircraft, is even offering a “very limited” number of UK Bomber Crew Memberships available, giving the chance for people to go on a flight from Bournemouth.
