BARRY KILDUFF aged 33 of Highlands Crescent, Bournemouth. Admitted on 02/09/2013 at Springdale Road, Corfe Mullen, being a trader, engaged in a commercial practice, that he advertised his services in an advertisement in BT’s Bournemouth edition of “The Phone Book” 2012/13 stating “No VAT Charges”, to a consumer, and subsequently charged her £23.68 VAT, and it caused or was likely to have caused the average consumer to take a transactional decision he/she would not have taken otherwise. Also admitted including credit card symbols within the advertisement, when he was unable to take payments by credit card therefore the overall presentation deceived the consumer as to the sales process. Also admitted including the words “City & Guilds Qualified” in the advertisement when he did not possess a City & Guilds qualification. Also admitted being a trader, engaged in a commercial practice, failed to provide a person with written details of her cancellation rights and as a result caused or was likely to cause the consumer to take a transactional decision he/she would not have taken otherwise. Fined £3,000. To pay victim surcharge of £75. Costs £594.

Admitted failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on 27/07/2014 at Bournemouth police station. Fined £50. To pay victim surcharge of £20.

MICHAEL DWYER aged 63 of West Hill Road, Bournemouth. Admitted, on 12/08/2014, at Bournemouth breached a Domestic Violence Protection Order imposed by East Dorset Magistrates Court on 30/07/2014, in that he contacted a person which was prohibited by that order. Fined £50.
