SIMON CHRISTOPHER BUTLER aged 55 of Shirley Farm, Shirley, Bransgore, Christchurch. Admitted driving a motor vehicle, Reg No W527 XSB, on 13/02/14 when he exceeded 10 hours total driving time between two consecutive daily rest periods. Also admitted driving the above vehicle on 05/03/2014 on the A31 Ashley Heath, Dorset which exceeded 18.75, that being the maximum length permitted by regulation 7 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulation 1986. Also admitted driving the above vehicle on 05/03/2014 on the A31 Ashley Heath, Dorset without an appropriate initial certificate of professional competence test as required by regulation 4(1) of the Vehicle Drivers (Certificates of Professional Competence) Regulations 2007. Also admitted, on 10/02/2014, at Bransgore, causing a person to drive a large goods vehicle (as above), for more than four and a half hours without observing a minimum break of forty five minutes in contravention of Article 7(1) of the Community Drivers’ Hours Regulation. Also admitted driving the above vehicle on 06/02/2014 at Bransgore for more than four and a half hours without observing a minimum break of forty five minutes. Fined a total of £780. To pay victim surcharge of £20. Costs £163.

DANIEL NICHOLAS HERRIDGE aged 26 of Salisbury Road, Burton, Christchurch. Admitted driving a large goods vehicle, Reg No W527 XSB, on 10/02/2014, 13/02/2014 and 06/02/2014 on the A31 Ashley Heath for more than four and a half hours with observing a minimum break of 45 minutes in contravention of Article 7(1) of the Community Drivers’ Hours Regulations. Also admitted driving the above vehicle on 13 February 2014 at Bransgore, and exceeded 10 hours total driving between the two consecutive daily rest periods. Also admitted on 05/03/2014 on the A31 at Ashley Heath, drove the above vehicle before that person had successfully completed an appropriate initial certificate of professional competence test as required by regulation 4(1) of the Vehicle Drivers (Certificates of Professional Competence) Regulations 2007. Also admitted, on 5 March 2014, on the A31 Ashley Heath, used a drawbar combination vehicle, Reg No as above, with trailer identification number C325787 when the overall length exceeded 18.75 metres contrary to Regulation 7, Item 1 of the Road Vehicles (construction & use) Regulations 1986 and Section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988. Fined a total of £390. Pay victim surcharge of £20. Costs £100.
