A WOMAN whose photograph appeared on the front page of the Daily Echo after she was wanted by police has admitted a string of drugs offences.

Tracey Archer, of no fixed abode, appeared in Bournemouth Crown Court via prison video link yesterday just days after Dorset Police circulated her picture, along with those of four others.

During the brief hearing, the 48-year-old – who spoke from Eastwood Park Prison, where she is currently incarcerated – admitted four offences of supplying a controlled drug of class A to a law enforcement officer on dates in April and July.

The defendant, who was represented by Anne Brown at the court, will be produced in late September for sentence.

Shane Peter Smith, 25, of Haddington Road in Plymouth, has also appeared before a district judge after his photograph appeared beside Archer’s.

He was arrested by police in Plymouth on Wednesday and is charged with seven counts of supplying a class A drug to a law enforcement officer on dates in May and June.

Officers are still hunting for Adam Hamed, 20, from Liverpool, Adam Larkin, 27, of Bournemouth, and Christopher York, 23, from London.

Both Archer and Smith were charged under Op Moped, a Dorset Police initiative to crack down on the street dealing of class A drugs.

So far, the covert operation, which took place from April to July, has resulted in 37 people charged, and 40 arrested.

Addresses across the town were targeted on a number of dates after an investigation by a dedicated team of officers.
