BOURNEMOUTH Air Festival's official radio partner Wave 105 has struck gold with its latest booking for the Saturday line-up at 'Corona Night Air at the Piers' - Spandau Ballet lead singer Tony Hadley.

Tony whose singing career has spanned four decades, delighted his fans by revealing that he is returning to the studio later this year.

Gig goers will also see a new sign-up on Saturday night (August 30): American singer-songwriter Nell Bryden, performing tracks from her critically acclaimed new album 'Wayfarer', as well as Sophie Ellis Bextor, The Struts and Jack Savoretti.

On Friday (August 29), commercial drum and bass chart toppers Sigma will perform their summer anthem 'Nobody to Love', and hotly tipped new single “Changing”, which sees them teaming up with Paloma Faith. Sigma join Rixton, Loveable Rogues, Alexa Goddard and headliners Rizzle Kicks.

More artists are set to be announced by the Wave 105 team over the coming weeks.

The live music event takes place over two nights and features a host of big names and rising stars along with flying demonstrations to light up the twilight skies.

Keith Penny, Wave 105's event director, said: “Night Air at the Piers is one of the highlights of the Bournemouth summer. What could be better than a night of great live music, on one of the best beaches in the country, to the backdrop of an amazing dusk air display?

“As usual we have something for all members of the family, from one of the biggest stars of the 80s to the latest chart acts. From folk to dance, and all for just £8 per ticket.”

There are 6,500 tickets available for each night from the BH Live website, visit bhlivetickets.co.uk.

Wave 105 will also be broadcasting live on Bournemouth beach from Thursday August 28 until Sunday August 31 covering all of the action via its website wave105.com
