The road is still closed however pedestrians are now being allowed through on the pavements

The road cloures are reported to be causing traffic chaos in the area


An ambulance spokesperson said they have taken two casualties to Poole Hospital. A man in his 60s and a woman. The spokesperson said they could give no further information at this stage.






Police say the crash occurred at around 7.30pm, involving a red Rover registered to a Bournemouth keeper and a black Peugeot 206 registered to a Poole keeper.

A third vehicle is potentially involved.

It is currently unclear whether any injuries have been sustained or how severe they may be.


EMERGENCY services are currently on the scene of a two vehicle crash in Upper Parkstone.

Ashley Road is closed between Layton Road and Albert Road following the incident which occurred outside Hughes of Bournemouth.

Firefighters are using hydraulic cutting tools to free a person trapped in one of the vehicles.

There are two ambulances, three fire engines and several police cars on the scene.
