Poole's Twin Sails Bridge is operating normally again after an electrical fault left it unable to raise.
The fault, which meant larger vessels were unable to pass, happened after midday.
The fault also caused the bridge lift warning lights to flash – despite the Twin Sails remaining open to pedestrian and road traffic.
Engineers have been working on the problem and a council spokesman said earlier : “No boats have been held up because of this electrical fault.
