- The cow has been caught and is now in a field.
Photographer Corin has been out to see the accident on the A338, and has reported back that a vehicle has come to a halt in the nearside lane.
It's been coned off but traffic is still able to move. Police are on the scene but it's not looking to be serious.

There's been a crash on the northbound carriageway of the A338, police have confirmed.
A spokesperson for the force said officers were called at around 2.40pm by the ambulance service.
She added: "The single-vehicle collision took place in the northbound carriageway's nearside lane around 200 metres before Matchams."
We're trying to find more information on this now and will update the blog as soon as we can.
Our traffic feed is reporting that the earlier long delays on the A338 Northbound between B3073 (Blackwater Junction) and A31 (Ashley Heath) have now cleared.
We've heard from the police who say the cow has been caught, is now in a field and traffic is moving.

The northbound carriageway is now open, police are still on the scene.
Our reporter Toby says most of the drivers sat on the A338 have switched off their engines but a few drivers are trying to turn around.
Chris Nicholls, who is travelling to Southampton on a National Express coach, has been stuck on the flyover for the past half an hour.
He said: “The Spur Road looks like a car park, with a lot of people getting out of their vehicles to get some fresh air and try and see what’s happening. But all you can see is traffic, no-one has any idea what is going on.
“I wish I had got the train, I would have been there by now. There has been no information given to us whatsoever and people are getting annoyed
We've heard from the police who say the southbound carriageway is open but it is being controlled by police so drivers are being escorted at a slow speed.
We've just been trying to get some clarification from the police on the road closures.
At the moment it looks like the southbound carriageway is closed from Ashley Heath. There's talk of a slow release of traffic from that area but we're waiting to hear more on this.

The cow is currently at the electricity pylons by Blackwater
Our photographer says the Avon Causeway is still closed in the direction of Sopley.
It is believed the cow is in woodland behind Christchurch Football Club at Hurn.
Officers are trying to ensure the cow does not escape from the woodland.

The police were unable to give any details on whether the Spur Road was still closed as a result.
We've been speaking to Dorset Police who said at 11.51am a cow was running on the causeway in Hurn Village
A police spokesperson said there was a road closure on at Hurn roundabout as a result of this. They are not sure whether this is the same cow.

Drivers are reporting delays of around an hour heading out of Bournemouth

Russell Pickard, a truck driver, was driving along the A338 when the incident happened.
He said: “It’s causing huge tail backs, all the way past the Boscombe exit. There was a farmer’s tractor parked on the other side of the carriageway and the police helicopter was above as well searching for it, and all the patrol cars went past us.
“We don’t know where the cow went after.
“The only cows I have ever seen were penned in a field, it’s the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this.”
Sounds like the cow is causing major traffic problems across Bournemouth!

POLICE have been called after reports of a cow seen wandering on the A338 Spur Road.
The cow, which has been jumping between both carriageways, was last seen near the Blackwater junction after jumping a barrier near Matchams, a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
Dorset Police have initiated rolling road blocks.
Traffic is backed up to Queens Park northbound.
The incident was reported to officers around 10.25am and police are assisting in trying to get the animal to safety.
