THERE will be a classic cocktail of live music, entertainment and fireworks on Thursday as Summer Breeze takes to Poole Quay.
This week’s line up includes singer/songwriter Karl Lattimer, trio BB3 with their mix of soul, Motown and rock and roll, plus LedFree’s tribute to the classic rock of Led Zeppelin and Free.
The six weeks of summer fun is sponsored by Tower Park based motor dealership Breeze Volkswagen, as part of Wave 105’s Summertime in the South series of events.
This free event takes place every Thursday evening in August with a party atmosphere on the quayside, ending with a firework finale at 10pm.
With fire performers, balloon modelling, street magicians, juggling and circus tricks, there is plenty to enjoy. Children can take park in traditional Maypole dancing and learn a circus skill, or enjoy the classic rides and bouncy castle.
“It is great to see Summer Breeze bringing so much pleasure to families,” said John Corderoy, managing director of Breeze Volkswagen.
“We are incredibly proud of this event. Each week just gets bigger and better and with such fantastic summer evenings, there is no better way to enjoy Poole.”
Bruce Grant-Braham, Poole Tourism Partnership chairman, said: “Fantastic live music, talented entertainers, glorious summer evenings and superb fireworks against a world class harbour backdrop. It’s a classic Summer Breeze cocktail in Poole!”
