A HAPPY couple from Bournemouth were joined by nine men in red flying suits for a wedding photo with a difference on Friday.
The wedding reception of Kayleigh, 23, and Chris Druce, 28, was in full swing at the Village Urban Resort Hotel, at Deansleigh Road, when the couple bumped into the Red Arrows pilots, who had flown into Bournemouth that afternoon.
A family member asked if the newly-weds could have a photo with the team, who were only too happy to oblige.
Scott Sykes, Kayleigh’s uncle, said: “We heard that the Red Arrows were at the hotel and we went straight down there to ask about having a ‘selfie’ and a picture with the bride and groom.
“They made the effort to all assemble for the photo and then they left the hotel. Kayleigh and Chris’s little son, Tristin, four, was absolutely in awe of them all “It was a beautiful day full of love and emotion, topped off by the excitement of meeting our red heroes.
“Not many people will have a wedding picture like this.”
Amy Spreadbury, sales manager at the Village Urban Resort Hotel Bournemouth, said: “It was great for them to make time for photos with Kayleigh and Chris, the new Mr and Mrs Druce.”
The Red Arrows flew into Bournemouth on Friday ready for a display on the Isle of Wight and are set to appear for all four days of this year’s Bournemouth Air Festival.
