Coastguard officers were due to search the Swanage coast after reports of an unexploded ordnance last night.
A call was made around 7.30pm to report of an item of unexploded ordnance on the beach at Redcliffe Point, Swanage.
Nothing was found, and a further search was due to be made at low tide today.
