A PERVERT who secretly filmed a teenage girl in the shower received a suspended jail term today.

Timothy Yarnold, 22, set up his iPhone in an empty toothpaste box with a hole cut out in a covert attempt to film his victim - aged 16 at the time - in Weymouth in December 2012.

The ploy was discovered by the victim herself, and other indecent images of her from different occasions were later found in Yarnold's computer by the police.

Ordering him to attend the Thames Valley Sex Offenders course, Judge Peter Johnson said: "She was terrified at what was recorded, and at what you might have done with the videos.

"You remain completely unconcerned about her feelings."

He said Yarnold, who had previously made "bizarre" videos of himself performing a sex act on himself in his car in public locations, had suggested women he recorded shouldn't complain as they were captured on CCTV all the time.

"Your thought processes are warped," the judge added at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Yarnold, of Grantley Gardens, Plymouth, who had pleaded not guilty to two counts of voyeurism and two of possessing indecent images, claimed they had been placed on his computer to frame him. He was convicted after a trial.

In mitigation, Neil Hinton said the offences, while embarrassing and uncomfortable for the victim did not constitute "serious sexual harm".

Judge Johnson imposed a six month prison sentence suspended for two years, ordered him to sign the sex offenders register for seven years, and imposed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order banning him from unisex changing facilities.

Never question authority ?

......

Always question it as it's very often corrupt or given to people who don't deserve it and abuse it.

Anyway, fair sentence, surprised they didn't order him not to use the net or mobile phones with cameras. They could have. Abu Hamza was under such ban

In all honesty, putting this guy on the sex offenders register for 7 years might be a bit strong.

However I fully support him being put in the "total and utter bell end" register for life.

Wonder how he'd have felt if it was his daughter or wife?

I wonder what the reaction would be if this loony had hidden a camera in the judges office and recorded his pay and the expenses he gets.

Minor offence, or gross intrusion on privacy

.................. yes, you've guessed it

I was always under the impression that those who pleaded guilty received lighter sentences, so as this perv pleaded not guilty, what would it have been ?

The guy who throw down a cigarette butt got more than this guy!
