Travellers given 24 hours to leave Baiter Park

First published in News

THE travellers in Poole’s Baiter Park were served with an eviction notice by Borough of Poole yesterday lunchtime.

The legal notice gives the unauthorised encampment until midday today to leave the area.

Yesterday, Borough of Poole environmental and consumer protection team leader Jeff Morley said: “An officer attended court this morning where an eviction order was granted for the vans currently at Baiter Park.

“This order will be served today, after which the group has 24 hours to leave the site.”

The encampment consists of eight caravans.

Memo to police and council - they'll be on the move within 24 hours so follow them and stop them entering more council land.
That'll save all this hassle.

If only, I guess the powers that be would call this haselling, and gosh we couldn't have that could we. So it's best is we tax payers keep giving away money requesting court orders. What a joke, why are these people not ordered to pay for all the trouble they cause , ah one rule for the most of us, zero rules for the others .
Only last night driving through Christchurch high street 3 vans all with caravans attached , and guess what not a number plate on the back of any of them. Is that fair , no I thought not .
Now what was the other article I was just reading in the Echo , regarding the police .......No Excuse Campaign ........!! Need I say more.

They will simply up sticks and move somewhere else and the eviction process will start all over again. It will be the same every year until the law gets changed. Someone created a Government petition to try and get this done back in March and so far that petition has received a whopping 94 signatures. Hardly shows people want to change things for the better does it?

Sign and share with as many people as possible, it takes no time at all

What happens after 24hours? Do they have a finger wagged at them or do the police start using their middle names? That's when I knew I was in trouble!
I'm sure the travellers are really scared.
