ELECTRICITY was restored to 180 homes in Swanage this afternoon following a power cut yesterday evening.
Residents in the area including Station Road and Shore Road were left without their electricity supply after it cut out at 7.30pm on Wednesday.
Southern Electric put in a generator and restored power by 12.30am. However the generator failed and another was put in place at 9.30am this morning with the company able to return the power at 12.30pm this afternoon.
A spokesperson for Southern Electric said: “We would like to apologise to the customers affected for the inconvenience and thank them for their patience while engineers are working on the site.”
