Our reporter Gayle is now at Hengistbury Head and says fire crews appear to have the fire under control. The chief fire officer has just arrived on the scene.

Here's what we have so far on the fire at Hengistbury Head, we have a reporter on her way to the scene:
Firefighters are en route to a suspected fire at Hengistbury Head.
A spokesman from Dorset Fire and Rescue said the service received reports of smoke in the area at 12.35pm.
Speaking at 12.45pm, the spokesman said one crew is currently on its way to the scene.
Mick Thomas, supervisor at the Hungry Hiker café, said there was “lots of smoke” coming from the reserve.
“We have just seen the fire engine go past. There is lots of smoke beyond the visitor centre.”
There are reports of a gorse fire at Hengistbury Head. We're hearing it's spread within the last five to ten minutes.

More details on the fire for you: we've been told by Dorset Fire and Rescue there is a vehicle alight on Sandbanks Road and the fire service are in attendance.
