A FEMALE motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a road crash on Sunday afternoon.

The incident, on the A354 at Milborne St Andrew, took place around 1.55pm with one woman, believed to the rider, taken to hospital complaining of ‘severe back pain’.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said her injuries were not believed to be serious.

The rider also had a male pillion on board the bike.

No other vehicle was involved and it is not yet known how the pair came off the bike.

The road was closed following the incident between Rook Lane at Winterborne Whitechurch and the A35 at Puddletown.

I really hope she will be ok soon and her passenger too.

A lot of incidents are sheer accidental; just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, slippery road etc. However, the safety is often at the control of the user whether a car driver or bike rider. I frequently see idiots in both who seem to have no regard for the safety of other road users or themselves - all these people give a bad name to drivers of all vehicles.
