AN elderly man was injured after being struck by a car in West Lulworth on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place at the entrance to Durdle Door campsite around 3.25pm.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the ambulance service had called them with reports of a pedestrian in collision with a car.

The spokesperson described it as a low speed impact collision and said the man had been taken to hospital.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening but there was some concern given the age of the victim.
