THE Sandbanks Ferry is operating normally again this morning, two days after one of its guiding chains snapped.
Wednesday morning’s incident happened as Brittany Ferries’ cross-channel Barfleur vessel passed by the chain ferry into Poole Harbour at low tide.
However, a subsequent investigation by divers found no sign of any collision on the 20,000 tonne Barfleur’s hull.
The Marine Accident Investigation Branch is investigating.
