THE A31 was closed at Roundhouse Roundabout due to a three-vehicle accident this afternoon.

Police were called by a member of the public at 2.45pm following reports of the incident in the Stag Gate area.

The incident involved a white Fiat Ducato, registered to a female from Gillingham, a blue Ford Transit, registered to a man from Littlehampton and a blue Volkswagen Caddy, registered to a man from Ferndown.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said the driver of the Volkswagen Caddy has been taken to Poole Hospital for a check-up.

Firstly, I hope everyone is OK ...
Now, DE reporting at its finest!! "For a check up" ... Not really professional is it?? Doesn't give you that confidence we are reading articles created by highly trained, professional, well educated people!
At a thought, why not use the phrases "for follow up care" or "for further assessment"? But the term they use sounds like very "Mickey Mouse" reporting.
Just saying ...
