A TEENAGER was targeted in a street robbery close to Bournemouth University’s Talbot Campus.
The 16-year-old boy was attacked as he walked through an alleyway towards McWilliam Close.
A man grabbed the boy from behind, put him in a headlock and stole his watch and mobile phone.
The incident happened on Wednesday, June 25, at 8.10pm, in the alleyway linking McWilliam Close to Fern Barrow.
Detectives, who say the victim was uninjured in the attack, have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
They only released this information today.
Detective Constable Ian Allen, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said: “Following enquiries I am now able to release a CCTV image of a man we wish to speak with. It is possible that he has information that can assist the investigation.
“I urge the man pictured, or anyone who recognises him, to contact police as soon as possible. All calls are treated in the strictest confidence.”
