AVIATION enthusiast Mary Brackley has become the 96th President of the Rotary Club of Bournemouth.
Mary is the only the third woman to take the reins at the club, one of the oldest in the country, and takes over from Richard Mockridge.
She said: “I see the President’s role as a responsible figurehead, representing and promoting this Club at every opportunity and by inspiration, vision and direction securing its future, with the support and achievements of its members.”
In a speech to fellow members she looked forward to upcoming events, including a Family Festival Rotary Day in Meyrick Park on July 24.
