A DAD of seven from Bournemouth drove while disqualified after rowing with the mother of his eldest children, a court heard.

Daniel Ruegg, of Kinson Road, was stopped by police in a black BMW as he drove along Turbary Park Avenue on June 19.

He initially gave officers his brother’s name, before confessing his identity and that he had been previously disqualified.

The 39-year-old admitted driving while disqualified and driving without insurance at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday last week.

Mark Proctor, mitigating, said: “In his words to police, he took a ‘stupid decision’ to drive.

“He has seven children of various ages. He is currently separated from his wife and is in a new relationship.

“His partner is expecting his eighth child. The relationship between him and his wife deteriorated after she learned that the new partner is pregnant.”

Mr Proctor added: “The background is that he ends up in an argument with his current partner and drives off.”

District Judge Stephen Nicholls fined mixed martial arts fighter Ruegg £600 for the two offences and extended his disqualification by a further six months.
