A DRY cleaning business which was wrecked by fire has re-opened after a comprehensive rebuild.
Greendale Construction carried out the project at Barker Dry Cleaning’s Ashley Cross store, where the blaze broke out last October.
The business continued operating from a temporary unit at the back of the Church Road building during the construction work.
Barker Group managing director Matthew Barker said: “We operate in a complex multi-faceted industry and it was Greendale’s ability to understand what we required, merging the operational and mechanical requirements of ourselves, our equipment suppliers and themselves, that have made this project what it is today; an exceptional production and retail facility.”
Greendale Construction Limited director Chris Kane said: “It has been a pleasure working with Matthew on this project, alongside Russell Walton of Bennington Green. Greendale is proud to have turned this badly fire-damaged building into one of the most advanced and well-equipped launderette and dry cleaning facilities in the country.”
