THE emergency services were called to Nelson Road in Branksome early today after a crash involving a single car.
Fire crews from Redhill Park and Westbourne fire stations were sent to the scene following the crash at around 12.30am and used hydraulic cutting equipment to take the roof off of the car and free the passenger, who was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The car, a Renault Clio registered to a Poole man, had mounted the pavement and it is thought that a dog inside the car went through its window, but was not injured.
A witness, who sent in the picture above, said there were two men in the car.
A police spokesman said that the injuries were not life-threatening.
The road was closed while the scene was dealt with and reopened at around 3am.
