SHOPPERS in Sherborne could win prizes worth more than £1,000 by taking part in a local competition.
The town is taking part in the 2014 Independents’ Day, a national initiative to buy locally on Friday, and is hosting a week-long promotion for everyone, over the age of 18, spending a minimum of £5.
Shoppers also need to collect a special stamp in eight out of 38 supporting town centre businesses between Friday and Saturday, July 12, with completed entry forms being submitted into a prize draw.
Prizes on offer for the event include items from the butcher, coffee shops, restaurants, baker, garden centres, toy shops, florists, beauty salons and more.
