A NEW managing director has been appointed at chartered accountancy and financial services business Ward Goodman.
Ian Rodd joined the company as an audit director seven years ago.
Mr Rodd had wanted to be an accountant since his school days. He graduated in hospitality and took on various roles including selling financial services before going to work for two national accountancy firms.
He lives with his wife and two daughters in Shillingstone.
Ward Goodman employs around 70 staff at Ferndown, Wareham, Wimborne and Gillingham.
Mr Rodd said: “Having dreamt of being an accountant since my school days, I am immensely proud to have achieved the position of managing director at what I believe to be the best chartered accountancy and financial services business in Dorset.
“I hold Ward Goodman extremely dear and I have a lot of admiration for the business and every single person in our team.
“It is this passion I want to use to drive the business forward, developing a sustainable business for the next generation.”
