ROAD diversions have been put in place while staff from Wessex Water carries out emergency repairs on a collapsed sewer in Poole.
Workmen were called to Culliford Crescent at the junction with Chedington Close in Canford Heath at 8.30am yesterday morning.
A spokesperson for Wessex Water said: “The sewer underneath Culliford Crescent has collapsed and we are doing everything we can to investigate the extent of it and repair it as soon as possible.
“We are hopeful that the work will be completed in two weeks, however this could be extended depending on the severity of the collapse.
“Road diversions have been set up for local residents and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to residents.”
Albert Road in Bournemouth is set to be closed for up to three weeks while Wessex Water repairs a collapsed sewer there.
