A COLLAPSED sewer is causing hold-ups in Bournemouth town centre.
Wessex Water is carrying out emergency repairs near the Daily Echo building in Albert Road and warns the work could take up to three weeks.
The roadworks preventing traffic using the one-way system which passes in front of Beales.
Wessex Water said the sewer was three metres below ground level. It apologised for the inconvenience and said residents had been alerted by letters and texts.
The sewage service was being kept going by taking sewage away in tankers.
