TWO fleet-footed solicitors triumphed in Dorset’s Business Come Dancing competition.

Amy Cousineau, employment solicitor with Coles Miller, won Wessex Cancer Trust’s annual dance contest with her professional partner Becky Murphy of Pavilion Dance.

They narrowly beat Coles Miller commercial property associate Kerry Houston- Kypta and her partner Lawrence James of Dance Crazy into second place.

Amy Cousineau and Becky Murphy performed a hula hoop routine, while Kerry Houston-Kypta and Lawrence James performed an American Smooth routine based on a song from the musical Dreamgirls.

The event at the Queen’s Hotel in Bournemouth raised more than £4,000, with the Coles Miller teams topping £890.

Judge Darren Northeast of Darren Northeast PR, who won the contest last year, said: “This year was a truly fantastic event with some incredible dance routines, which made life as a judge particularly hard.

“However, it was still great fun and I am confident I passed on my crown to an extremely talented and well deserved winner in Amy.”

Amy Cousineau said: “It was a fantastic evening and I am so pleased that we were able to raise such a lot of money for a truly great cause.

“I am really looking forward to going back next year as a judge and continuing to support the Wessex Cancer Trust.”
