POWER cuts in Bournemouth this morning have been caused by technical problems with a mobile generator.
A spokesman for Scottish Southern Energy confirmed the power cut began at around 8.45am, affecting properties at Alma Road, St Luke's Road and Trafalgar Road.
He added that cables in the area had been deliberately turned off for safety reasons so engineers could carry out planned maintenance work.
However, a mobile generator installed to maintain the electricity supply suffered a technical fault resulting in the power outage.
The spokesman said: “Engineers are working on this now and hope to have the power back on by lunchtime.”
