There are major delays following a crash on the A31 at Canford Bottom this morning.
Eastbound is blocked, causing congestion for rush hour motorists and traffic is being diverted.
There are long delays as a result of the road closures and diversions.
Two lanes remain closed but the roudabout is open.
Police were called at 7.50am to the two-vehicle crash involving a black Jeep and a black Vauxhall Astra.
Diversions are on from Leigh Road, Wimborne, a spokesperson for Dorset Police said.
Traffic lights, kerb stones and a pelican crossing have been damaged as a result of the crash.
The driver of the Vauxhall Astra has been taken to hospital.
The man's injuries are not believed to be serious.
Recovery is being arranged for the Astra.
