COASTGUARDS were kept busy as thousands headed for the water on Sunday.
A 41-year-old woman was rescued after collapsing on a yacht near St Albans Head just before 9am and a yacht ran aground in Christchurch Harbour at 10.45am.
Two speedboats which had broken down in Poole and Christchurch needed help in the early afternoon and coastguards were alerted to a pile of clothes which had been on the beach at Boscombe for nearly five hours.
Inquiries revealed a man had been in difficulties earlier in the day but had been rescued.
Two people in kayaks, thought to be in difficulty off Southbourne at 8.30pm, were found to be angling.
