JOB-seekers needing support in the Wimborne area have been given a boost by housing association Synergy.

The company, working in partnership with Action for Children, careers specialist Ansbury and the Zone 9 Neighbourhood Panel, has launched the Leigh Park Job Club, a free weekly get-together for anyone looking for work.

At the sessions, which take place at the Leigh Park Children’s Centre in Gordon Road every Wednesday from 10am until noon, attendees will be able to get help filling in job application forms, advice on finding the right career for them, and hints and tips on how to develop or update their curriculum vitae.

Angela Gould, Synergy Housing customer involvement and community development manager, said: “One of our top priorities is to help any of our customers who aren’t in work and support them in finding a job that’s right for them.

“We have free computer and internet access available at every session, and you don’t need to book an appointment to attend.

“The club will be running every Wednesday so we’d love to see as many people coming along as possible.”
