OPEN auditions will be held tomorrow for a new kids’ adventure film being made in Dorset this summer.

Dorset filmmakers Tim Clague and Danny Stack are hoping to use only local talent in their production of Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg?

The story is set on the Jurassic coast and follows four kids who suspect a holiday park’s mascot has been killed.

Filming will take place in late summer at the Freshwater Beach Holiday Park, which featured in the hit ITV drama Broadchurch.

Open auditions will be held at the Studio Theatre at the Lighthouse, Poole between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.

The directors of the film are primarily looking for children who are aged between 10 and 13.

Tim, who is a BAFTA nominated writer, said: “It’s all too easy to overlook what is on your doorstep but there is a lot of talent in the area, especially great young actors who by the age of 12 have already been in many major films.”

The film is due to be released in June 2015.
