THE annual Purbeck Plod charity walk returns to its usual route this year, after cliff falls caused it to be diverted in 2013.
It will take place on Sunday, June 29, after the Jurassic Coast path linking Houns-tout to Kimmeridge re-opened at Easter.
This event is open to walkers and runners – a 25-mile route for both walkers and runners and a shorter 16-mile route for walkers only. The challenging 25-mile distance is mainly along the South West Coast Path from Swanage to Kimmeridge, then further inland via Ridgeway Hill and Corfe Castle and back to Swanage via Nine Barrow and Ballard Down.
Those wishing to enter in advance must do so by June 14 but runners can also enter on the day of the event.
