THE DAILY Echo has launched a new mobile website making it even easier to access all the latest news, travel and sport at the touch of your fingertips.

On average more than 755,000 unique browsers visit the Daily Echo website each month and the number of people using their mobile phones to view articles online has more than doubled in the past year.

To cater for our rapidly-growing mobile audience we’ve introduced a new mobile-responsive site making it simpler and easier for readers to stay-up-to-date while on the move.

When you visit bournemouthecho.co.uk on your smartphone you will now automatically be directed to the mobile-friendly site, instead of having to navigate through the desktop version.

It has the same features you’ll find on the desktop site including all the latest traffic and travel news, national news and local news.

The top ten stories are listed at the top of the homepage followed by the ten best-read stories below.

It has longer pages, which makes it easier for users to scroll through articles, and readers can submit stories and pictures straight from their phone by going to our Send Your News section.

Daily Echo website assistant Sarah Cartlidge said: “The new mobile-responsive site is so much more user-friendly and provides a better browsing experience than trying to view the desktop version.

“It’s now easier to scroll through our latest and breaking news and sport stories thanks to the longer pages.”
