THE Red Arrows are due to pay a visit to Bournemouth on Saturday as they use the town’s airport as a base for their weekend displays.

The team, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is set to perform at Folkstone in Kent at lunchtime on Saturday before arriving at Hurn at 3.10pm.

The Hawk jets are due to depart at 5.20pm to carry out their display over Lymington for a D-Day commemoration event taking place at Newtown Park.

Arrival back at Bournemouth is scheduled for 5.57pm and the jets are set to stay there overnight.

The team is due to depart at 9am on Sunday for displays in other parts of the country.

However, the team's movements could be restricted by bad weather forecast for Saturday.
