AN 88-year-old-man has died after his car was involved in a collision with a wall in Ringwood.

Donald Ling was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, where he later died.

The pensioner was taken to hospital by ambulance following the crash, which happened on the A31 Southampton Road at the junction to Middleton Road.

A spokesman from Hampshire Police said emergency services were called to the scene at 1.42pm.

The force spokesman said: “A 88-year-old man had a medical episode. He was driving a green Vauxhall Astra which collided with a wall. No other vehicles were involved.”

The exact circumstances of the collision are still being investigated.
